Wudong Honey Orchid Dancong Oolong (Aged Tree) \ Wudong Mi Lan Xiang (Lao Cong) 乌岽蜜兰香 (老枞)
Summary: An exceptional Honey Orchid Dancong from the renowned Wudong Mountain. Rich with orchid florals, honeyed sweetness, ripe stone fruit and a lingering mineral finish, this high-mountain Phoenix oolong showcases the elegance and complexity that have made Wudong one of the most respected origins in Dancong tea.
Some places become synonymous with excellence.
Within the Phoenix Mountains (凤凰山) of Chaozhou, Wudong (乌岽) is one of those places—an area long revered by tea makers for producing some of the most expressive and sought-after Phoenix Dancong oolongs.
Our Wudong Mi Lan Xiang (乌岽蜜兰香) is a distinguished expression of the beloved Honey Orchid cultivar, grown in the cool, mist-covered slopes of Wudong Mountain. Here, higher elevations, mineral-rich soils, and slower leaf development allow the tea to develop exceptional aromatic depth, sweetness, and elegance.
Unlike more widely available Mi Lan Xiang teas, the Wudong expression is prized for its greater refinement. The signature honeyed orchid fragrance is joined by layers of ripe stone fruit, citrus blossom, warm nectar, and a lingering mountain minerality that continues to evolve over many infusions.
Every harvest is picked by hand and crafted according to the traditional Phoenix Dancong practice of single-tree harvesting and individual processing (单株采摘、单株制作). This artisan approach preserves the unique personality of each tea tree and reflects the remarkable diversity of the Phoenix Mountains.
The result is a tea that is both vibrant and composed—fragrant without being overpowering, sweet without becoming heavy, and beautifully expressive from the first infusion to the last.

Why Wudong Mi Lan Xiang is Special
Mi Lan Xiang (蜜兰香), meaning “Honey Orchid Fragrance,” is one of the most celebrated Phoenix Dancong cultivars (or plant varieties). While many Honey Orchid teas are produced throughout the Phoenix Mountain region, those grown in Wudong are especially prized for their terroir.
The cooler mountain climate, frequent mist, slower-growing leaves, and mineral-rich environment contribute to a tea with greater aromatic intensity, remarkable clarity, and a longer, sweeter finish.
Rather than changing the character of Mi Lan Xiang, Wudong elevates it—bringing greater depth, complexity, and balance to one of Phoenix Mountain’s most iconic cultivars.
